Firefox is now available on Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. The app is available for all users having a Fire TV or Fire TV Stick. Once installed, you can use Firefox on your Fire TV or Fire TV Stick to do anything that you would normally do with Firefox on your computer or smartphone. Fire TV devices are home to over 500,000 movies and TV shows, thousands of app channels and Alexa skills.
Mozilla just released a large update to Firefox Focus v4 on Android that brings support for autocomplete of URL and usage of custom search engines. Firefox Focus is Mozilla’s vision of offering a lean mobile browser that enables users to browse the web without leaving trace of any activity. It also disables privacy oriented features like blocking ad trackers, content trackers, analytics trackers and social trackers. Firefox Focus was initially available on iOS and Mozilla launched an Android counterpart in June of 2017.
Firefox’s latest web product, called Firefox Send, allows users to share files with other online recipients. Before this comes off as yet another file sharing tool that will never be used, Firefox Send is different by being private and ensuring secure file transfer with encryption. The files you upload and send to others using Firefox Send will be encrypted at the sender’s end and will not be available for access by Firefox or Mozilla.

In a half surprising event, Pocket has been acquired by Firefox. Back in mid-2015, Pocket became the default read-it-later application for Firefox. 2 years after the integration, Firefox now acquires Pocket for an undisclosed amount. Going forward, Pocket will make use of the largest of available resources from Firefox, while continuing to operate as an independent subsidiary of the Mozilla corporation, said the company’s CEO, Nate, in a blog post.
