Instagram increases posting scope, Now post to Instagram without the app

Instagram’s silently announced a new feature that enables users to post photos without the Instagram mobile apps. Starting today, users can use the Instagram mobile website to post content to their profiles.

This feature’s available for all users currently and works only on the Instagram mobile website. Open your favorite web browser on your smartphone and enter to get going. On the contrary, this feature is not available on the desktop web browsers yet.

This feature comes in the time when Facebook is aggresively betting huge on slow-internet connectivity with the launch of Facebook Lite and Messenger Lite, and the launch of offline Instagram last month. It should be interesting if Instagram Lite makes the cut too in the coming days.

For the time being, you can use Instagram now on the mobile websites without the Instagram mobile app.

Filters are not available though: We played around with the new feature a bit and noticed that filters are not available though. On capturing a photo with your smartphone camera or on picking the image from your gallery, the photo will be published to your Instagram timeline automatically. No filters, no captions for the time being.

Also, don’t really hope for a smooth experience. It’s not a native app after all.
