Jelly by Biz Stone is now a part of Pinterest family and is officially shutting down services starting April 3, 2017. The announcement came on the 9th of March, stating that Pinterest’s visions are aligned with that of Jelly and that the teams are joining forces to build a stronger front.
In a recent mailer to users today, Biz announced that Jelly would not be functioning starting April 3. Both the website and the iOS app are being churned off. The platform is allowing users to download all the answers they have published on the website, until the time mentioned.
We deliberated and decided. Now that team Jelly is on team Pinterest, we have to focus our attention singularly. One strong brand is the best way forward.
Users can download their answers from the website by clicking on the profile photo at the top right and choosing My Profile from the dropdown. Users can click the File > Export as PDF to download their data.
With Pinterest’s purchase of Jelly being the second one, the company is touting to be a human-powered search mammoth. With Instapaper and Jelly on it’s stable, things are up for an interesting future for the company and users.
